Notes:
At present time it is not clear if the lecture will be given classically in a lecture room, or via Online methods.
We will announce this shortly before the lectures will start.

Content
In modern physics and astrophysical research numerical simulations play an ever more important role.
The lecture introduces quite generally into the modern numerical techniques, using examples from
Astronomy & Astrophysics.
The lecture is thematically self contained, the necessary knowledge from astrophysics, or numerics will
be introduced during the lecture.
The lecture can be used as an introduction to the areas (Vertiefungsfächer) Astronomy&Astrophysics
of Computational Physics.
The accompanying exercises give opportunity, to program and test some applications directly.
As programming languages we suggest: C, Python, or Fortran.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Physics
Exercises
The exercises will be held by Alexandros Ziampras
Exercise sheets will be made available under ILIAS .
