Animation of Planet in Disk
Displayed is the evolution of the interaction of a planet
with its surrounding accretion disk.
The calculations are either two-dimensional (r-phi) or fully
3D. The disk is non-self gravitating.
Shown is always the evolution of the surface density. The mass ratio
planet/star (q) is set to 0.001, and the planet is on a
circular orbit (e=0).
The time is given in units of the orbit period of the planet.
Case 1: Plot in (physical) x-y coordinates.
Case 2: Plot in r-phi coordinates.
