Animation of Sedov Explosion

Displayed is the evolution of the blast wave in a point like explosion (Sedov-Problem), which is a standard test case for hydrodynamical calculations.
  • The adiabatic exponent (gamma) equals 1.4.
  • We use a Cartesian Setup, in a unit square
  • Energy input E=1, and uniform density rho=1

  • In Cartesian (x-y) Coordinates, 200x200 Grid:

    Code: RH2D
  • with total energy variable
  • 2D density
  • Density evolution   along x-Axis, with analytic solution
