Summary

I studied physics and mathematics at the Universities of Regensburg, Cambridge (GB), and Tübingen and philosophy at the University of Tübingen. During military service and membership of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) I was trained as intermediate emergency technician (EMT-I, Rettungssanitäter). More details can be found in the Education section.

My undergraduate studies were supported by the Cusanuswerk. My PhD project was funded through the Research Unit 759 "Formation of Planets" of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In October 2010 I was elected permanent member of the research group "Church and Science" at the Katholische Akademie in Bayern. Other scholarships and memberships are listed in the Scholarships section.

Currently I am research assistant at the Computational Physics Department, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. Voluntarily I work in rescue service for the German Red Cross (DRK), Kreisverband Tübingen. Professional and voluntary employment history can be found in the Employments section.

A list of attended and organised conferences and given talks can be found in the Conferences section. A full overview over my publications in physics and philosophy is given in the Publications section.
