WHO I AM
Since September 2010, I am a "Wissenschaftlicher
Assistent" (fixed-term Assistant Professor) at the
Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, working
with Willy Kley.
WHAT I AM DOING
I am a theoretical astrophysicist working in the field
of late stages of stellar evolution and compact objects.
I use computer calculations to model high-energetic
phenomena in their vicinity as accretion and ejection of
matter in outflows and jets. Recently, my research is
focused on simulations extending self-similar jet
formation models.
I am also studying jet sources with archival or newly proposed observational data from HST, SPITZER, Suzaku and XMM-Newton.
WHAT I HAVE PUBLISHED
I have published 15 articles in refereed journals
(13 as first author), 12 conference contributions,
two books and four miscellaneous publications including
two theses.
WHAT I TEACH
This term (Summer Term 2012) I am involved in the exercises to the lecture "Astronomie und Astrophysik" given by Profs. K. Werner and A. Santangelo and in the Astrophysical advanced practical course.
